Ingredients

These powerful, fast-acting ingredients are what make Nuphorin so unique:

Ashwagandha (7% extract)

For thousands of years, ashwagandha has been used in Ayurvedic medicine to promote health and well-being. Today, ashwagandha is recognized as one of the best and most effective herbal adaptogens. It supports the metabolic and adrenal systems while reducing anxiousness and increasing stress resistance. Research suggests that ashwagandha is particularly beneficial for occasional anxiety sufferers. It's proven to significantly reduce stress, decrease anxiety, reduce fatigue and boost energy levels. When taken regularly, ashwagandha may be able to cut stress and anxiety by up to 60 percent while improving stamina and reducing cell degeneration.

Magnesium

Magnesium is the ultimate supplement for relieving occasional anxiety and encouraging relaxation. This calmative mineral supports some 300 enzymes and biochemical reactions in the bones, brain, organs and muscles. Magnesium encourages relaxation and lessens feelings of anxiety by blocking antagonistic nerve signals. There's also evidence that it can help support normal sleep patterns. Unfortunately, the average diet doesn't include enough magnesium-rich foods. Even minor deficiencies can exacerbate stress and anxiety. The good news is that magnesium supplements work quickly in the body, which is why they're used during medical emergencies. In healthy patients, increased levels of free magnesium regulate physiological stress and support cell development, which can significantly reduce anxiety.

5-HTP (5-hydroxytryptophan)

This botanically derived amino acid is nature's version of serotonin. The African shrub Griffonia simplicifolia is the primary source of this valuable supplement. Although 5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP) is produced within the body before it's converted into serotonin (5-HT), many people with low serotonergic activity don't have enough of this amino acid byproduct. By helping maintain normal serotonin levels, 5-HTP can decrease anxious nerve signals that trigger panic and anxiety. In addition to reducing nervousness, it can also support normal sleeping patterns. Improved serotonergic activity can support the central nervous system and many serotonin-related functions, such as mood, hunger, sleep, attention and memory.

GABA (Gamma-Aminobutryic Acid)

Gamma-aminobutryic acid (GABA) is one of the few inhibitory neurotransmitters that can calm the brain and block the nerve signals that trigger anxiety. Research shows that GABA relieves tension, stress and nervousness and may improve mood. GABA doesn't only reduce stress. It also improves stress tolerance. Low levels of free GABA in the cerebrospinal fluid may be linked to increased feelings of stress and anxiety, particularly in older adults. In these cases, supplementation is particularly beneficial. Supplements work in the brain and help support the  central nervous system to minimize anxiety, but they can also reduce some of the uncomfortable physical symptoms that accompany anxiety and panic.

DMAE Bitartrate

Naturally found in the body and in certain cold-water fish, dimethylaminoethanol (DMAE) is an important chemical precursor that supports the development of choline and acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that's active in the parasympathetic nervous system. Choline derived from DMAE has three important jobs. It supports vital cells, helps maintain normal intercellular communication and functions as a neurotransmitter. Cholinergic activity is essential for supporting internal organs, the circulatory system and hormones. Since the 1970s, DMAE bitartrate has been recognized as an excellent supplement for supporting normal choline and acetylcholine levels. After extensive research, scientists have found that maintaining normal choline levels is strongly linked to reduced feelings of anxiety.

Chamomile (4:1 extract)

Chamomile is a gentle, soothing herb that has significant stress relieving effects. Extracts from Matricaria recutita flowers contain a precious combination of hydroxylates, phenols, flavonoids and sesquiterpene essential oils. An innovative study completed in the United States found that the volatile compounds in chamomile extract have stress relieving properties that may benefit people with mild anxiety. Flavonoids extracted from chamomile flowers positively supports normal noradrenalin, dopamine and serotonin levels. There's also evidence that certain components help support normal activity within the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenocortical axis and support GABA function and transmission, which can support the nervous system and reduce occasional anxiety. Chamomile may also support normal sleep patterns.

B-Vitamins

The vitamin B family is a special group of nutrients comprised of eight primary compounds, including B6 and B12, and more than a dozen secondary compounds, such as inositol and choline. B vitamins play an important role in the production of serotonin and other neurotransmitters. Although these nutrients have many beneficial functions, B6 is one of the most effective vitamins for easing feelings of stress and anxiety. In conjunction with magnesium, vitamin B6 synergistically supports normal nerve signals. Vitamin B5 and inositol support adrenal function and manage stress responses. Vitamin B12, also called folic acid, is essential for helping maintain normal heart function and can help reduce feelings of stress and anxiety.
